Wesley United Methodist Church is Striving to be:
A Biblical Church...
As the people of God we seek His Word. We believe that the answers to our greatest needs are to be found in the Bible. For that reason, our Sunday School program and worship service are centered around the teaching of God's Word. We believe that applying the principals of God's Word will help us lead effective Christian lives.
A Worshiping Church...
We believe that worship has the twofold purpose of praising God and edifying one another. As we praise God we are reminded that worship is our response to God's love. Through the sharing of our joys and concerns, prayer and the reading and exposition of Scripture, we are called to ministry and growth in Jesus Christ.
A Spirit Filled Church...
The Apostle Paul gave us a direct command to "be filled with the Holy Spirit". The Holy Spirit plays a big role both in the individual life of the Christian and in the corporate life of the church. It is our desire to let the Holy Spirit fill us and lead us as He wills.
A Caring Church...
Through growth groups, prayer groups, women's circles and visitation teams we seek to minister unto one another. If one member of the body rejoices then we all rejoice. But if one member suffers then we all too suffer. We want to be personal agents of healing to the hurt and pain life brings. Jesus cared about people. We care about them too.
